In war, truth is the first casualty.

In war, truth is the first casualty.

Steve Best

If the animal rights movement is ever to become more than just another “interest group,” if it is to achieve it goals of animal liberation, and if it is to realize its potential for radically transforming human identity and society, it will have to study past social movements and learn from their successes and failures – the environmental movement in particular -- in order to draw the right lessons and not repeat the same mistakes. Activists need to be critical of large mainstream organizations, fight to maintain philosophical and tactical diversity, and demonstrate the vital importance of grass roots, direct action, and underground approaches.

Gandhi

It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts, than to put on the cloak of nonviolence to cover impotence. ~Gandhi

We have people that say that we should use any violence. we should be out their passing out the leaflets. Do we stand back like these people and do nothing, or do we go out and fight, what violence do we really use, we break some computers burn some buildings, never have we been violent towards an other human,

Gary Francione say this about us

Gary Francione

"Unfortunately, there are people who identify themselves as animal advocates who claim that the solution to the problem of animal exploitation is violence.

Some of these people have actually engaged in acts of violence against institutional exploiters. Others incite acts of violence by calling on people to use “intimidation” against animal exploiters or to make animal exploiters “fearful” of retaliatory violence".

people like gary francione do not go out their and save animals life's should they call themselves animal rights activists????

i will say this if you stand around doing nothing then you are NO better than the people that slaughter the animals...

So please think of the animals we are trying to save

Nio's Army of Vegan intelligence

Under much deliberation i have came up with a new name for our fighters. Nio's Army of Vegan Intelligence. I have said for long enough that we all have to be under one name, to stop the confusion as we are now the new improved Task Force. Here's an example of what we are up against!! the narrow minded people that will put us down no matter the cost of the suffering of our non- human companions.

I've bolded the areas that i found quite interesting and slightly humorous!

Terrorist Watch and Action Task Force (T.W.A.T.)

Welcome to the official site for the Terrorist Watch and Action Task Force (T.W.A.T.). This is a new branch that is responsible for monitoring terrorist activity in America. As a sect of Operation Cling To Freedom, we mitigate everyday threats onto good, hard-working Americans by Eco-Terrorists and other Anti-American Establishment clandestine groups, such as vegans, animal rights activists, free-thinking individuals, and broad-minded groups in general.

These anarchic degenerates seek to corrupt accustomed American living with their healthier eating habits, cruelty-free living, and hope for a "better world". These theories are implemented by such acts as abandoning conventional American culture for a life of "sustainability", liberating defenseless animals, demonstrating in public, parading down the streets in view of children with signs and megaphones for support for said defenseless animals, clearly breaking the noise pollution laws, and refusing to support American-owned global corporations, the backbone of this country.

Clearly these threats are authentic and obviously dangerous. There could be a possible terrorist vegan lecturing about a meat-free diet in your children's school. Every day dozens of departments and agencies work with their industry partners to help derail and arrest these malevolent, provocative alarmists.

Many people wonder how exactly we target in on animal-loving and liberating terrorists. The answer is the same as any other criminal ring, they leave a trail. People who try to liberate animals, or protest against those who torture or kill animals for industry/fun/sport, usually do not engage in using or eating animal products in their personal lives. These individuals believe they can live a "normal" life, and be as happy as you and I, without oppressing or abusing animals- that is how delusional they are. We here at T.W.A.T. accumulate countless man hours tracking, researching, and recording "vegan" activity.

Unfortunately, we have not yet secured international land as a detention center for these attackers, so many of them might be walking around in your town. This site allows you, the reader, to help bring to light these enemies of our culture, and to do your part in protecting your children's' future, by assisting in our pursuit to eradicate these terrorists.

TWAT or concerning human? you decide!!!

P.S, any comments on the new name?? :)

Resist, Defy, Disrupt

by Camille Marino

A chicken would open its cage if it could. A dairy cow does not willingly surrender her babies. Laboratory prisoners do not choose restraints and torture. It’s our job to demand their rights — to resist
oppression, defy authority, and disrupt the system that enslaves them.
Rosa Parks and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. endured jail, job loss, and,
ultimately, death, to fight segregation and instititional racism. Animal
activists must demonstrate comparable dedication to our rights-based
movement.

Are we willing to risk jail?

Are we willing to risk our jobs, professions, or careers?

Are we willing to incur society’s laughter or wrath?

Some vegans would not hesitate to answer “yes” on all counts. But, if we’re going to be honest, most animal rights activists would utter an almost-inaudable “no” three consecutive times. While inaction guarantees
torment and death for the animal, the activist remains safe and
unscathed. The greater potential an action has to liberate a victim, the
far greater peril the activist must face. We all need to acknowledge
this diametrically-opposed dynamic that is unique to the animal-activist
relationship and adopt it as a personal barometer. We can then know
with utter certainty that when we obey authority, acquiesce to our own
fear, and take no risk that we facilitate the holocaust. There is a
fixed cost of industrial abuse for the victims: terror. Either the
animals absorb 100% of the consequences for being born into our
society, or we assume some of their liability at our own expense.

The individual line that each of us navigates between self-preservation and activism is subject to no external critique… only our own conscience.

But if an activist never has a sinking feeling in the pit of their stomach, never questions their own actions or weighs potential results, or is unfamiliar with nagging doubts, this is highly problematic for the
animals. It means that we are disengaged, probably spend an inordinate
amount of time signing petitions, offer no resistance, and we function
as ornaments, not activists. Continue to sign petitions, debate on
forums, or enjoy any number of safe activities, but do more. Unless we
advance a resistance on behalf of all nonhuman animals, then we are
complicit in their exploitation.

Whether we are educators or liberators, we share this responsibility equally.

RESIST, DEFY, DISRUPT – IT’S IN OUR JOB DESCRIPTION!

DUE TO THE RECENT DEBATES.

THEY HAVE BEEN A LOT OF DEBATES GOING ON IN FACE-BOOK, WHICH HAVE BECAME A JOKE...I HAVE CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT PEOPLE THAT SUPPORT MDA ARE BETTER OF WORKING TOGETHER AND LEAVING THE REST TO CARRY ON WITH THEIR LIVES...

THINGS ARE GETTING DONE AS WE ARE TO BUSY DEBATING WITH PEOPLE THAT DON'T CARE ABOUT OUR VIEWS..THAT THINK WE ARE A JOKE...WE ARE TO VIOLENT FOR THEM..

IT IS TIME WE BECOME OUR OWN ARMY...WE CAN BE SO POWERFUL...IT IS TIME FOR THE CHANGE..EITHER YOUR WITH US..OR YOUR AGAINST US..

IT IS TIME TO FORGET ABOUT THE GF OF THIS WORLD...THEY AREN'T DOING ANYTHING BUT DRAGGING US DOWN...

IT IS TIME WE DO THE EDUCATING AND THE FIGHTING...

IT IS TIME WE DO IT OUR WAY.......

ANY MEANS NECESSARY

THE DEBATE THAT TOOK PLACE ON WAAR....(17-18 july)

This Debate was about the subject that people love to talk about...MDA and Vegan Education

These are a few comments that was taking from that debate... These highlights show that there is a lot of emotion and defence of a particular method

Roger Yates, said yes, "i support some MDA..."

These are also other comments from various people in attendance

Education a good way to start teaching children and anyone who is at a complete loss of what`s going on
...but to get anythging accomplished, not a chance

(the topic shifted to arson, is it a legitimate tactic or is violence due to the possibility of an insect being hurt inside?)

not violence but vandelism

the intention is to hurt the oppresors financially so they cannot continue to kill animals

Oh, I agree on that aspect - you cannot hold a building to a higher state of sentience than animals for gawd's sake.

But our outcome is non-violent

(But if you use violence, you are no better than the abusers, you cannot be vegan)

There is nothing in the definition of vegan that says non violence

there is a lot to be learned from histories armed rebel forces such as the IRA, Che Guevara, the Polish resistance ect.... if only we could become as organised and structured we ACTUALLY have a chance of achieving freedom

placing moths in fur stores, anything, everything helps, but we need to be outspoken in the public eye, over and over again
without an armed force hitler would never have stopped

lets stop trying to be morally acceptable when we know we are morally right

(then the topic shifted to a more serious side, with the Education-only guests, repeatedly asking the same question, which began to irritate some guests, they were talking about a comment made on another forum, by someone who wasn't in attendance at this debate, something that sounded like it was advocated assault on a person, as being part of by Any Means Necessary, as advocated by proponents on MDA. The suggestion raised at the debate was they were trying to bait someone into saying they would support killing a vivisectionist. They were asked repeatedly, what would be achieved, how is that "necessary", that question went unanswered)

i think some people focus on "any means" and not the "necessary" part

we have nothing to hide, even if we ever manage to get organised and united we will always have those who infiltrate our movement again its time to stop being afraid of what we stand for and start standing

(Then the attack moved onto Sea Shepherd, and reports of the captain, Peter Bethune, eating steak and going fishing, and the suggestion we should not support them, but does that negate the whales that have been saved? or is it hypocritcal)

"save one, eat one"

After the debate, this is the conclusion we (Lorna and Alison) came to -

People from the education side are diluted... in there beliefs..am sorry to say...
They go around slagging of people for what they belief in and organisations that try and help....

The one thing that kept coming up was what does By Any Means Necessary actually mean...
“ We declare our right on this earth to be a man, to be a human being, to be respected as a human being, to be given the rights of a human being in this society, on this earth, in this day, which we intend to bring into existence by any means necessary.
— Malcolm X, 1965...

These animals are suffering and some people are worried about the damage to building in case there is an insect inside, while ignoring the violence that we know is perpetrated against animals, what about the hurt and suffering these animals are going through? Isn't that more important...

You say we are violent...and you put us in categories...like rapist, paedophiles... and even vivsectors ( http://www.facebook.com/notes/brooke-cameron/a-question-for-jamie-rivet/137417866280493) but those are who we fight with in a daily basis...

For some reason only known to yourself.. you think your way is better than ours... You think if it doesn't involve people or a building getting hurt...that is ok...

Well let me say this - it is disgusting.....That you think you have the right to judge us... why not try and judge the people that we are fighting... The system and the law. The abusers... the murders.. NOT your fellow ARAs... and if you can't stop the insults, then move over there is no room for you... we need all the help we can get... we don't need you to slow us down.

And to the education-only people we say this -

Stop fighting us, those who disagree with you, and maybe spend that time to save an animal. It's not about whose tactic is better or right, it's about the animals.

REVOLUTION

REVOLUTION

It is time for a REVOLUTION...It is time for change!!!!!!

For this to happen we must all join forces....For so long we have been a divide movement...We see the struggles these animals go through, Some off us want to take a new approach, out with the old in with the new...As time has changed so must we...What was right for then isn't right now...If it was we would have changed some many things by now...

There is a time for change and that time is now.... We must rebel against the system....

What we need is a fundamental change in power or organized structure... Only this way we will be able to make a change...
